Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Frankfurt
Arrive Frankfurt airport, meet your Teach By Travel tour manager, and transfer to your hotel for check-in. After an orientation briefing, time to explore on your own before dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Cologne - Rhine Cruise
Stunning views today from your included Rhine Cruise. Arrive Cologne for a guided tour, including the Rhine panorama of the Old Town, the Cathedral, the Roman church, Great St. Martin and the historical Town Hall.

Day 4: Hamburg
Depart from Cologne and transfer to Hamburg. Time to explore on your own before your included Illuminated Hamburg City Tour and Evening Cruise. Dinner and overnight in Hamburg.

Day 5: Berlin
Enjoy a panoramic tour of Hamburg before traveling to the German port of Lubeck, where much of the old town has kept a medieval look with old buildings and narrow streets. Stroll the compact Altstadt; a medieval street layout surrounded by a river and harbor that once doubled as a moat and view the seven great churches with spires that reach toward the Northern sky. Board your motorcoach and continue to Berlin for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Berlin
Guided city sightseeing tour of Berlin, including the remains of the Berlin Wall, the Tiergarten, the government quarter, Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Square, Checkpoint Charlie and the famous shopping streets Kurfrstendamm and Unter den Linden. Also included is a visit to one of Berlin's most interactive museums: the GDR museum. Dinner and overnight in Berlin.

Day 7: Dresden
Transfer to Dresden and its rich cultural history. Since the German reunification in 1990, Dresden has re-emerged as a cultural, educational, political and economic center of Germany. Your guided tour of Dresden includes the 18th century Zwinger Palace, the Semper Opera House, and the Frauenkirche. Free time before dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Nuremberg
First stop today is Weimar, known for its historical architecture and landscape parks, as well as the town's role as an intellectual center in the late 18th century. Guided walking tour highlights the palaces, parks and gardens of this small but delightful city. Continue on to Coburg, a town famous for its mighty fortress. Time to stroll the historic old town before continuing to Nuremberg for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Munich
Panoramic tour of Nuremberg before traveling along the lovely Romantic Road. Stop in medieval Rothenburg, Germany's best preserved walled town, for a walking tour. Proceed to Munich for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Munich
Guided city sightseeing tour of Munich this morning. See the 15th century Gothic Church of Our Lady, Marienplatz, and probably the most famous tavern in the world, the Hofbräuhaus beer hall, and the Olympic center where the Olympic Games were held in 1972. Hofbrauhaus dinner and entertainment tonight!

Day 11: Black Forest
Depart Munich and stop in Oberammeragau, home of the famous Passion Play. Time to explore before continuing to the fairy-tale castle of Mad King Ludwig, Neuschwanstein, for a guided tour. Enjoy spectacular scenery as you travel through the Black Forest.

Day 12: Frankfurt
Depart for Heidelberg and a guided tour of Heidelberg Castle. Last stop is Frankfurt for a Special Farewell Dinner.

Day 13:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
