Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Venice
Arrive in Italy, and meet your Teach by Travel tour manager. Transfer to Venice for time to relax and unpack. Dinner and overnight in Venice.

Day 3: Venice
Morning guided walking tour of Venice. Stroll through the tiny winding alleys, and watch the gondolas paddle down the canals. Free afternoon for the excellent shopping Venice offers. Dinner and overnight in Venice.

Day 4: Venice - Tuscany
Time for a stop in Pisa to see the famed Leaning Tower before transferring to the Renaissance city of Florence. Time to explore before dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Florence
Sights of Florence this morning on your guided city sightseeing tour, including the Duomo, and the Doors of Paradise. No visit to Florence would be complete without entrance to the Accademia to see the world-famous David. Afternoon free to shop along the Ponte Vecchio.

Day 6: Tuscany - Sorrento
Depart Florence and continue on to the heart of Tuscany, Siena. See the Duomo, a splendid example of Italian Romanesque architecture. Stroll through the red-bricked medieval square Piazza del Campo. On to Sorrento for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Pompeii - Sorrento
This morning, your coach takes you to the fascinating ruins of Pompeii. See what life was like for the citizens of Pompeii before the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D on your guided tour. The enchanting Isle of Capri in the Bay of Naples awaits this afternoon. Return to Sorrento for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Sorrento - Rome
Morning departure from Sorrento. Arrive in Rome for a guided city sightseeing tour. See the Pantheon, St. Peter in Chains, the Colosseum and more, including the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. This evening, you may want to walk to the Spanish Steps, or window shop along the Via Veneto.

Day 9: Rome
A free day in Rome to fulfill your personal sightseeing plans, or do as the ancient Romans did, and travel east of Rome to the retreat of Tivoli and Hadrian's Villa, with its gardens, temples, baths and lakes. Return to Rome for dinner and overnight. Or take an optional excursion to the archaeological site of Ostia Antica, which in ancient times was situated at the mouth of the Tiber River, and was an important harbour. See the impressive amphitheater, built in 12 B.C. and many other well preserved ruins and frescoes. Return to Rome for dinner and overnight.

Day 10:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
