Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Paris
Arrive Paris airport, meet your Teach By Travel tour manager, and transfer to your hotel. After your orientation briefing, free time to explore this cosmopolitan city before dinner and overnight in Paris.

Day 3: Paris
Morning guided city sightseeing tour. See the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame and more, before concluding at the Louvre for an inside visit. Free time to stay in the Louvre, stroll along the Champs-Elysées, or climb the steps to Sacre Coeur for amazing views of the city. Special dinner at the Restaurant 58 Tour Eiffel. Day 4: Paris - Chartres - Tours
This morning visit magnificent Versailles Palace, home of the Sun King, Louis XIV. Travel back in time to view court life - feel the grandeur of the Hall of Mirrors, the Grand Apartments, and more. Stroll the Trianon Gardens before boarding your coach to transfer to the town of Chartres. Marvel at Chartres Cathedral and the famous "Chartres Blue" stained glass windows. Proceed to the Loire Valley with a stop in Chambord to see the mammouth castle. Dinner and overnight in the Tours area.

Day 5: Tours - Bordeaux
A relaxed pace today as you travel through the famous Chateaux Region of France. Visit Azay-le-Rideau and Chenonceau, two of the most beautiful castles of the Loire Valley. In the afternoon, board the TGV bound for Bordeaux. Dinner and overnight in Bordeaux.

Day 6: Bordeaux - Sarlat
Full day excursion into the Medoc, Bordeaux's premier wine producing area. Visit the charming towns of St. Julien, Paulliac, and St. Estephe. Stop at a vineyard for a lesson in wine producing and a wine tasting. Travel east along the Dordogne River to Sarlat for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Sarlat
Fascinating prehistoric artifacts are found this morning when you visit Les Eyzies-de-Tayac. View the cave-drawings of bison, deer, and horses that date from the early Paleolithic period. Time for the National Museum of Prehistory, where you will see the skeletons of Cro-Magnon man as well as tools, weapons, and ornaments used during this period. Dinner and overnight in Sarlat.

Day 8: Sarlat - Biarritz
Depart from Sarlat and journey to Rocamadour, a small town known as much for its breathtaking location atop a 500-foot gorge as the purported miracles seen here since the 12th century. Time permitting, learn the secrets of cooking typical southwestern French cuisine, said to be the healthiest in France. Cross the large forests of the Landes and arrive in Biarritz for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Biarritz
Start your day with a visit to St-Jean de Luz and Bayonne, with entrance included to the cathedral of Ste-Marie. Return to Biarritz to enjoy a splendid view of the Rock of Our Lady, facing the ocean. Afternoon excursion by small mountain train to the Col de la Rhune for a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees Mountains and the Atlantic Coast. Dinner and overnight in Biarritz.

Day 10:
Return flight.
