Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Madrid
Arrive Madrid airport, and meet your Teach By Travel tour manager. After an orientation briefing, time to explore on your own before dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ávila - Salamanca - Coimbra
First stop today is the walled town of Ávila, one of the finest remnants of Europe's medieval era, featuring Renaissance churches and palaces. Continue to the university city of Salamanca, considered one of the most spectacular Renaissance cities in Europe. Time to explore before crossing into Portugal. Dinner and overnight in Coimbra.

Day 4: Coimbra - Fátima - Óbidos - Lisbon
Morning guided tour of Coimbra, rich in history and the oldest seat of learning in Portugal with a University founded in August 1290. Proceed to Fátima, where you will see the famous Basilica of Fátima, where the three peasant children claimed to have seen the "Virgin of the Rosary," Our Lady of Fátima. Continue on to the beautiful walled city of Óbidos and its picturesque streets, as well as the colorful fishing village of Nazare. Final destination today is Lisbon, for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lisbon
Start the day with a locally-guided city sightseeing tour of Lisbon, including St. George's Castle, Praca do Comercio, the cobbled labyrinth of Alfama, and the Tower of Belem. Free time to explore on your own before dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lisbon - Sevilla
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery as you journey from Portugal to Spain's Andalusia. Dinner and overnight in Sevilla.

Day 7: Sevilla
Guided city sightseeing tour of beautiful Sevilla this morning. See the famed Tower of Gold, and included entrance into the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Free afternoon for additional sightseeing.

Day 8: Córdoba - Madrid
Depart Sevilla and transfer to Moorish Córdoba for a guided tour, including the Great Mosque. Continue to Madrid for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Madrid
Guided city tour of Madrid, featuring the Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, and much more, concluding with entrance to the Prado, where you will view masterpieces by Velazquez , El Greco, and Goya, among others. Free time to take in the lively scene at Plaza Major, enjoy Retiro Park, or shop for souvenirs. Tonight's farewell dinner includes the drama and passion of Spain's national dance, the flamenco.

Day 10:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
