Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Lima
Morning visit to the Huaca Pucllana Archeological Center. Also see Plaza Mayor, surrounded by the Government Palace, City Hall, Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace. Continue to the San Francisco Monastery and drive through the residential districts of Miraflores and San Isidro. Free afternonon for your personal sightseeing agenda. Dinner and overnight in Lima.

Day 3: Lima - Ica - Nazca
Transfer to the bus station and board the air-conditioned Royal Class coach which will transport you to the town of Ica where comfortable overnight accommodations await you. Today's overflight of the Nazca markings will provide an unforgettable experience as you too ponder the mystery of how and by whom these giant geometrical shapes were created.

Day 4: Ica - Paracas - Lima
Early transfer to Paracas Bay to begin your 2 hour boat ride to visit the Ballestas Islands situated off the coast of the Paracas Reserve, Peru's largest coastal wildlife sanctuary. These two beautiful islands are home to thousands of resident migratory sea birds. These include pelicans, boobies, cormorants and gulls, among others, who share their habitat with colonies of sea lions. Enroute you will also see the mysterious drawing etched on the desert face, the Candlestick. Return to Lima for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Cuzco - Ollantaytambo - Pisac - Sacred Valley
Transfer to the airport for the short flight to Cuzco. Proceed to Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the Americas. Nestled in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, these splendid ruins are representative of the fine skills of these ancient artisans. Included lunch in the countryside before continuing to the famous Pisac Market. Dinner and overnight in the Sacred Valley.

Day 6: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cuzco
Depart this morning for a full-day excursion to Machu Picchu, the "lost city of the Incas." Truly one of the wonders of the world, Machu Picchu was only discovered in 1911. This self-contained city consists of over 200 buildings and is practically inaccessible and unnoticable from the valley below. Included lunch today. Overnight in Cuzco.

Day 7: Cuzco
Explore this magical city and one-time capital city of the Inca Empire on a guided city tour of Cuzco and the imposing Inca ruins. Free to time to explore before dinner and overnight in Cuzco.

Day 8: Cuzco - Lima
Morning transfer to the airport for a flight to Lima. After hotel check-in, enjoy a fascinating visit to the Gold Museum, displaying a dazzling array of gold, silver, and copper works from Peru's many civilizations.

Day 9:
Return flight.
