Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Barcelona
Arrive in Barcelona, meet your Teach By Travel tour manager, and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a guided tour of Barcelona before dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Barcelona
A local guide takes you back in history as you tour the Jewish Quarter in Barcelona, where the Jews in medieval Barcelona were renowned for their skills as physicians and interpreters of the law, as well as for service at the Catalan courts. See the Main Synagogue of Barcelona, the largest in all of Europe and one of the places that best transmits the cultural heritage. It not only contains original artifacts of Jewish culture in Barcelona, but also stones found during an excavation that date back to Carthage under Roman rule. Stroll through the fascinating "Call" neighborhood, with time for a coffee in one of the cafés that still retain traces of the Jewish culture that once flourished in the area. On to Montjuic (Jewish Mountain) to see the old Jewish Cemetery. Free time to explore the fascinating city of Barcelona.

Day 4: Barcelona - Girona Excursion
Morning departure for Girona, a city rich with architectural artistry and incredible structures. Once home to one of the most important Jewish communities in Spain, the Jewish quarter is full of small, narrow, steep sloping streets echoing medieval times. Guided tour of Girona features some of Spain's most beautiful monuments and squares. Free time to discover Girona's recently restored Jewish quarter with its trendy new art galleries, upscale boutiques and chic restaurants. Return to Barcelona for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Barcelona - Sevilla
Transfer to the train station and depart for Sevilla. Free time to explore beautiful Sevilla on your own before dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Sevilla
Morning guided tour of Sevilla. See the 12th century Giralda (Bell Tower), a fine example of Islamic architecture, the ornate Cathedral, Plaza de España and more. Dine like the locals with an included tapas lunch, followed by free time to enjoy this city of cobble-stoned streets and a charm all its own. Included Flamenco Show with dinner tonight!

Day 7: Sevilla - Madrid
Transfer to the rail station, and board your train bound for Madrid. Free time to explore on your own before dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Madrid - Segovia
Guided city sightseeing tour of Madrid, where you will see the Puerta del Sol, Plaza de Cibeles, the Cervantes Memorial and more, including entrance to the Prado, where you will view masterpieces by Velazquez, El Greco and Goya, among others. Afternoon excursion to medieval Segovia, where you will view the amazing acqueduct, a medieval synagogue, and enjoy a guided tour through the old Jewish Quarter. Return to Madrid for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Toledo Excursion
Guided tour of Toledo today, home of El Greco, and where Jews, Christians and Muslims once lived in harmony. This mix of cultures is reflected in the city's architecture, ancient churches, mosques, and synagogues embellished with the floral motifs, coffered ceilings and horseshoe arches of the Mudejar style. Entrance into the fascinating El Transito Synagogue, built in 1357 and full of Moorish carvings. Entrance is also included into the Sephardic Museum with its historic Hebrew inscriptions. Return to Madrid for your final dinner and overnight.

Day 10:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
