Day 1:
Departure Flight.
Day 2: Athens
Arrive Athens airport, meet your Teach By Travel tour manager, and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Dinner and overnight in Athens.
Day 3: Athens
This morning's guided city sightseeing tour of the Cradle of Civilization includes the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Roman Agora and more. This evening, enjoy a Special Dinner in the Plaka, complete with Greek dancing!
Day 4: Delphi - Kalambaka
Depart Athens and travel to the mystical sancturary of Delphi. Thought to be the center of the world, Delphi was known as the Oracle and sanctuary of the god Apollo, where the citizens gathered to receive wisdom and advise from the Oracle. Surrounded by natural beauty, Delphi was an important administrative and spiritual center in ancient Greece. Continue to Kalambaka for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Meteora - Ohrid
Morning tour of Meteora, surrounded by magnificent rock formations which have the distinction of having several monasteries built on top of them during the 14th and 15th centuries. Have your cameras ready as Meteora also offers enchanting views of lush green hills and valleys. Travel across the border into Ohrid, Macedonia, for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Ohrid - Tirana
Guided tour of Ohrid where people have lived since ancient times, taking advantage of the protection provided by the hill overlooking the bay. View the houses of Ohrid's old town, artistically arranged on the hillside, and the former cathedral of Sveta Sofia and its very well preserved frescoes dating from the 10th century. Afternoon departure to the Albanian capital of Tirana.
Day 7: Tirana
Start your morning with a guided tour of Tirana, including the Clock Tower, the Palace of Culture, the Mosque of Et'hem Bey, and the National History Museum. Free afternoon to continue exploring on your own before dinner and overnight in Tirana.
Day 8: Tirana - Dubrovnik
Depart Tirana and continue on to the town of Shkodra. Your guided walking tour includes the Marubi Photo Collection, the beautiful Ottoman-era house with the Historical Museum and the quirky old Turkish bathhouse, and Rozafa Castle overlooking the city. Proceed to Croatia and the seaport city of Dubrovnik for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Dubrovnik
Guided tour of Dubrovnik, including the Bell Tower, the Gothic Rennaissance Sponza Palace and the Rector's Palace, housing a museum dedicated to the city's history. Free time to explore Placa Stradun (Old town), the central street of the city of Dubrovnik. Walk the shades of the peripendicular streets and alleys of the Placa, with shops on the street level and their 'knee-like' entrances.
Day 10: Dubrovnik - Split
Travel north along the Adriatic past old fishing villages to Split. Your guided city tour highlights the Roman Emperor Diocietian's Palace, Gothic and Renaissance buildings, Jupiter's Temple, the Cathedral, and more. Free time to explore before returning to Dubrovnik for your Special Farewell Dinner.
Day 11:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
