Teach By Travel - Cultures of France and Spain - Country Combination Tours


Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Paris
Arrive Paris, meet your Teach By Travel tour manager, and transfer to your hotel. After an orientation briefing, time to explore on your own before dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Paris
Guided city tour of the French capital, including the Champs-Elysees, Place de la Concorde, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe, and more. Your tour concludes with entrance to the world-famous Louve Museuem. Free time to stroll through the lively Latin Quarter, view the Impressionist masterpieces at the Orsay Museum, or climb the steps to Sacre Coeur for magnificent views of the city. Special dinner tonight at Restaurant 58 Tour Eiffel, followed by a Seine River Cruise and Illumination Drive.

Day 4: Paris - Lyon
Transfer to the train station and board a TGV train bound for Lyon. Two hours later, arrive in Lyon for your city tour of this beautiful Renaissance town - immaculately preserved houses and shops line quaint cobbled streets, retaining much of the atmosphere of past centuries. Dinner and overnight in Lyon.

Day 5: Lyon - Avignon
Your coach follows the Rhone River to arrive in Avignon, Provence. Visit the amazing Roman Aqueduct, the Pont du Gard, built 2,000 years ago. Return to Avignon for a fascinating walking tour of this Middle-Age walled city. Time to visit the Palais des Papes, which housed seven Popes during the 14th century.

Day 6: Avignon - Cannes
Depart Avignon and travel south to Aix en Provence for a visit to the Atelier of the famous Impressionist painter Cezanne. Free time to stroll the animated center of Aix en Provence before continuing to the Montegne Ste Victoire, the subject of many Impressionist painters, such as Van Gogh and Cezanne. Continue to the Cote d'Azur for dinner and overnight in Cannes.

Day 7: Monte Carlo - Eze
Morning excursion to Monaco- your coach takes hair-pin turns and climbs winding mountain roads to reach the jet-set city of Monte Carlo, with its castle and the famous harbour. Continue to the cliff-top village of Eze for breathtaking views of the Cote d'Azur. Visit a perfume factory for a fascinating look at perfume production before returning to Cannes.

Day 8: Barcelona
Travel from the south of France and cross the border into Spain. Continue to Barcelona for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Barcelona
Guided city tour of the Catalonian capital, Barcelona. See the Gothic Quarter, the Olympic Ring, Las Ramblas, and Sagrada Familia, a masterpiece of Art Nouveau architecture.

Day 10: Barcelona
A free day in Barcelona! You may want to visit the Picasso Museum, walk along Puerto Olimpico, or visit Gaudi's Parc Guell for a most interesting view of sculptures and mosaics.

Day 11:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
