Teach By Travel - Culinary Tours - Athens
Day 1:
Departure Flight.
Day 2: Athens
Arrive Athens airport, meet your Teach By Travel tour manager, and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Free time before dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Athens
This morning's guided city sightseeing tour of the Cradle of Civilization includes the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Parliament, the Roman Agora, the Parthenon, and more, concluding with entrance to the spectacular new Acropolis Museum. Free afternoon to further explore Athens. Experience a local taverna for dinner tonight!
Day 4: Athens - Epidaurus/ Wine Tasting
Your motorcoach takes the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea. Drive on to Mycenae and visit the Lion's Gate, the Cyclopean Walls and the Royal Tombs. Continue through the fertile plains of Argolis to picturesque Nauplion, nestled at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress. Marvel at the astounding acoustics of the 4th century Epidauros Theater before proceeding to a local winery for a tour and wine tasting. Return to Athens for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Athens/Cooking Lesson
Off to the local market with a licensed chef to choose fresh, local ingredients for your cooking lesson and chance to learn by Greek experts how to prepare legendary Greek dishes. You will also be introduced to the celebrated varieties of olives and olive oil, as well as a chance to sample Greek spirits, before dining on your own creations. Dinner and overnight in Athens.
Day 6: Athens
A free day in Athens! Time to shop and explore the Plaka, or perhaps visit the abundant collections of the National Archaeological Museum. Special Farewell Dinner in the Plaka tonight.
Day 7:
Included transfer to the airport for your return flight.
