Teach By Travel - Culinary Tours - Paris and Provence


Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Paris
Arrive Paris airport, greet your Teach By Travel tour manager, and transfer to your hotel. Orientation briefing by your tour manager to acquaint you with Paris. Included half-day guided city tour of Paris. Discover the Champs Elysées, Nôtre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, and more. Balance of the day at your leisure before included dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Louvre - Cooking Class
Included morning tour of the world famous Louvre Museum. See Winged Victory, Venus de Milo, the Mona Lisa, and much, much more. Afternoon cooking class (Pâtisserie course) to be concluded with a traditional European High Tea. Included dinner and overnight in Paris.

Day 4: Market Visit - Gastronomy Tour
Morning visit to the Food Market rue Mouffetard. Afternoon guided tour of the famous sites of French gastronomy (Train Bleu, Maxim's, bakeries, restaurants and cheese shops). Balance of the day at leisure before included dinner and overnight in Paris.

Day 5: Avignon - Pont du Gard
Transfer to the train station and board your high speed TGV train bound for Avignon. Upon arrival, travel to the amazing Pont du Gard for a guided visit. This millenia-old massive aqueduct is still functional and a beautiful sight to behold. Arrive in Avignon for a guided city tour of this lovely pedestrian city, including entrance to the former home of the popes, the Palais des Papes. Included dinner and overnight in Avignon.

Day 6: Avignon Cooking
An entire day of cooking classes awaits you today! Select your fresh ingredients from a local market. Take your skills to the next level by preparing authentic French cuisine courses. Included dinner and overnight in Avignon.

Day 7: Nîmes - Camargue - Avignon
Travel to Nîmes for an included guided tour, including the famous ancient Roman Ampitheatre and the Augustus Maison Carrée, built circa 16 B.C., one of the best preserved Roman temples to be found from the Roman Empire. Continue to Camargue for an included excursion to view the nature reserve and wide array of flora and fauna (with some beach time!). Return to Avignon for dinner and overnight.

Day 8:
Transfer to the airport with a visit on the way to either Marseilles or Aix-en-Provence (time permitting) for your return flight.
