Teach By Travel - Historic England - England/Ireland/Scotland/Wales
Day 1:
Departure Flight.
Day 2: London
Land at London airport, meet your Teach by Travel tour manager, and transfer to your hotel to relax and unpack. Dinner and overnight in London.
Day 3: London
Start your first morning in London with a guided city sightseeing tour. See Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Parliament, Buckingham Palace and more. Free afternoon to visit the British Museum, shop at world-famous Harrods, or along trendy Oxford Street.
Day 4: London - Windsor Castle
Board your coach and journey to Windsor Castle, an official residence of the British Royal Family. After entrance into the castle, explore the charming town, shop for souvenirs, or stop and enjoy a cup of tea. Return to London for a free afternoon - you may opt to visit Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, the Tate Gallery, or the Tower of London. Dinner and overnight in London.
Day 5: Canterbury - Brighton
Morning departure for a visit to Canterbury Cathedral, a destination of medieval pilgrims. On to the site of the Battle of Hastings, where William the Conqueror fought in 1066. Proceed to the seaside, and visit the Royal Pavilion. Dinner and overnight in Brighton.
Day 6: Salisbury - Stonehenge - Bath
This morning, depart Brighton for Salisbury, with its beautiful Cathedral, and a copy of the Magna Carta. Proceed to mysterious Stonehenge, before arriving at your final destination - the Georgian town of Bath. Guided tour of the Roman-built Baths. Dinner and overnight in Bath area.
Day 7: Bath - Stratford
Leave Bath, and travel through the picturesque Cotswolds, home of thatched-roof cottages and charming villages. On to Shakespeare's birthplace of Stratford, where you will also see Anne Hathaway's Cottage. Royal Shakespeare Company performance included tonight, if in production (if not in production, a London theatre performance will be included). Dinner and overnight in the Stratford area.
Day 8: Stratford - Oxford - London
Depart from Stratford, and stop for a walking tour of Oxford to experience English academic life. Return to London for a Farewell Pub Dinner.
Day 9:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
