Day 1:
Departure Flight.
Day 2: Athens
Arrive at Athens airport, where your Teach by Travel tour manager will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. After an orientation briefing, free time to explore on your own before dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Athens
This morning's guided city sightseeing tour of the Cradle of Civilization includes the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Roman Agora, and more. Afternoon visit to the National Archaeological Museum. Dinner and overnight in Athens.
Day 4: Athens - Santorini
Transfer to the port for sea transporation to Santorini, featuring one of the most spectacular landscapes in Greece and in the world. The traditional villages of the island, built on tall cliffs, offer a breathtaking view over the submerged volcano, rumoured to be the lost island of Atlantis. Don't miss the absolutely stunning sunsets - said to be the most beautiful in the world!
Day 5: Santorini
Free time to enjoy the spectacular physical beauty of Santorini, or take an optional half-day excursion to Thira and Oia Village. Start your excursion by admiring the panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and the neighboring islands. A unique sight is the various layers of lava that can be seen on the face of the rock, each layer being another phase of the activity of the volcano. Built on the Caldera rim, Oia Village is an excellent example of Cycladic architecture. Accompanied by your guide, explore the village walking along the cobble-stoned streets and the white-washed houses with blue shutters. Proceed to the town of Fira, where you will have time to stroll along the lanes of the little town, or relax over a coffee as you gaze down upon Kamenes, the two black volcanic islets in the Caldera Bay. Dinner and overnight in Santorini.
Day 6: Santorini - Mykonos
Depart Santorini and transfer to the cosmopolitan haven of Mykonos, with its beautiful white sandy beaches, rugged mountains and lush valleys. Mykonos boasts more than 300 days of sunshine per year, plus turquoise skies and seas! Dinner and overnight in Mykonos.
Day 7: Mykonos
Guided tour of Mykonos this morning. Your coach will take you to Hora, the island's capital, where you will enjoy a walking tour in the narrow cobbled streets of the town, passing by chic boutiques and white-washed houses. Arrive at Alefkandra, a charming corner of Hora, known as the "Venice of Mykonos" because the houses are built on the sea, with wooden balconies that evoke Venice. Free time this afternoon for fun and sun. Don't forget to look for the island's mascot, Pete the Pelican! Dinner and overnight in Mykonos.
Day 8: Mykonos - Athens
Transfer from Mykonos for a final night in Athens. Time to haggle for bargains in the Plaka, snack on a gyro, stroll to Syntagma Square, or climb to the top of Mount Lycabettus for spectacular views of the city. Special Farewell Taverna Dinner with entertainment tonight.
Day 9:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
