Teach By Travel - Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam - Country Combination Tours

Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Paris
Arrive at Paris airport and be welcomed by your Teach By Travel tour manager. Transfer to your hotel for check-in, and an arrival briefing by your tour manager. Dinner and overnight in Paris.

Day 3: Paris
The French capital awaits you this morning on your guided city sightseeing tour. See the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Champs-Elysées, Arc de Triomphe, the Latin Quarter, and more, ending with an inside visit to the Louvre. Free afternoon to explore Paris on your own. Visit the Jardins des Tuileries, the Place de la Concorde, the Grands Magasins, or perhaps the Orsay Museum, with its extraordinary Impressionist collection. Dinner and overnight in Paris.

Day 4: Versailles - Giverny
This morning, journey outside of Paris to Versailles, the palace of the Sun King, Louis XIV. Your inside visit highlights the opulant Hall of Mirrors, the Royal Apartments, the Chapel, and more. Time to see Marie Antoinette's Hamlet, and the magnificent Trianon Gardens. Continue on to Giverny, to see Monet's home and gardens, the inspiration for several of his paintings. Return to Paris for dinner at the Eiffel Tower's Restaurant 58 Tour Eiffel, and unforgettable night views of 'Ville de Lumieres.'

Day 5: Paris - Brussels
After breakfast, board your coach and transfer to Brussels. City tour of the capital of Belgium - see the Guild's Houses on the Grand Place, the Atomium built for the Exposition of 1958, the Royal Palace and the European Parliament House. Dinner and overnight in Brussels.

Day 6: Ghent Excursion
Day excursion to Ghent, an earlier capital of the empire of Charles V. Visit the Castles of the Counts of Flanders, and see the Guild's Houses built when Ghent was an important port of the North Sea. See the Cathedral of St. Bavon, and "Adoration of the Mystic Lamb" painted by Van Eyck during the 15th century. Continue to Brugge, and see the jewel of Flemish architecture of the 15th and 16th centuries, with its charming canals weaving through the city. Enjoy an included canal cruise for great views. Return to Brussels for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Brussels - Amsterdam
Morning transfer to Amsterdam, the cultural capital of Holland. Arrive in Amsterdam and enjoy a boat tour of the canals. Included entrance to Anne Frank's house, and to the Rijk Museum, with its splendid collection of Rembrandt paintings, showing the social and political life in art during the 17th century. Visit the Van Gogh Museum and the most important collection of Van Gogh paintings in the world. Dinner and overnight in Amsterdam.

Day 8: Amsterdam
After breakfast, board your coach for an excursion to see the polders, low-lying tracts of land enclosed by embankments with no connection to outside water other than through manually-operated devices. The Dutch have a long history of reclamation of marshes and fenland, resulting in some 3,000 polders nationwide. About half of all polder surfaces within northwest Europe are located within the Netherlands. Stop in Lelystad to see how Holland's engineers implemented the process after WWII. Continue to Edam, famous for its cheeses exported around the world. Don't miss the cheese markets and shops specializing in antiques, art and souvenirs. Also visit Volendam, a charming fishing village with fisherman's cottages, tiny narrow alleys, and fish market. Return to Amsterdam with free time to stroll around the animated districts before dinner and overnight.

Day 9:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
