Teach By Travel - Spanish Adventure - Spain
Day 1:
Departure Flight.
Day 2: Madrid
Arrive at Madrid airport and meet your Teach by Travel tour manager. Transfer to your hotel for check-in, followed by an orientation briefing. Time to explore on your own before dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Madrid - Toledo
Guided city tour of Madrid, where you will see the Puerta del Sol, Plaza Major, the Cervantes Memorial and more, concluding with entrance to the Prado, where you will view masterpieces by Velazquez and Goya, among others. Afternoon guided tour of Toledo, the capital of medieval Spain. Enjoy the 11-th century Cathedral, the Church of Santo Tome, and the El Transito Synagogue, a testament to Toledo's Jewish heritage. Return to Madrid for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Madrid - Córdoba - Sevilla
Depart Madrid and travel along the Guadalquivir River to Córdoba - guided tour, including the Great Mosque, built over 1200 years ago. Continue on to beautiful Sevilla for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Sevilla
Morning guided city tour of Sevilla, where you will see the ornate Cathedral, the Tower of Gold, Plaza de España and more. Included tapas lunch today, followed by free time for further exploration of Sevilla. Dinner and overnight in Sevilla.
Day 6: Sevilla - Granada
Depart Sevilla and travel along the Sierra Nevada to Granada for a guided tour, including the Old Quarter, the Alhambra, an immense hilltop palace complex, and the spectacular landscape of Generalife, featuring walkways, waterfalls and courtyards. Learn the passion and drama of Spain's Flamenco Dance with included flamenco lessons. Flamenco performance with dinner tonight.
Day 7: Granada - Valencia
Lots to see today! Sit back and relax and enjoy the views en route to the Mediterranean coast and Valencia. Dine like the locals tonight with a Special Paella Dinner in Valencia.
Day 8: Valencia - Barcelona
Guided tour of Valencia, including the Bull Ring, the Cathedral, the Towers of Serrano and Cuarte, and the central market, one of the largest in Europe. Depart Valencia and continue to the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona. Dinner and overnight in Barcelona.
Day 9: Barcelona
Morning guided city tour, including Parc Montjuic, City Hall, the Cathedral, the Gothic Quarter and more, concluding with entrance to Gaudi's Sagrada Familia. Free time to experience lively Las Ramblas boulevard, or eclectic Parc Guell.
Day 10:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
